Another freebie, hands tied R a f a lad in this window, but if Rondon puts the work and effort in that Gray and Townsend have shown then it'll be ok.

Remember last season we'd have had Bernard, Siggy, Gomes and Tom trying to get that hard fought win over Brighton last week, with no striker on the bench. This is now back to proper Everton before they started throwing millions at duds.
We may be short of cash until all the deadwood has gone but I do trust Rafael to make us decent again. We have some class players and if you add committed and dependable then who knows? Ferguson won his final title with a squad that was nothing to write home about.
Rafael must trust this bloke.

I trust him far more than Ancelotti, as I said to many a GOT'rs who I know in real life lad.

Rondon is effectively replacing a player ten years his junior. In hindsight, Kean was a costly gamble – bringing a teenager to play for the first time in a foreign country, and it seems that he never settled. Rondon isn't the player who any of us would have wanted as a replacement. And yet Benitez, who knows him better than any of us, obviously does see something in him. Other positives: we needed a specialist lone striker, someone with strong hold up play and who can get on the end of crosses. Kean isn't that type of player, and Richarlison's hold-up play is the weakest part of his game.

I'm really happy with the signing of Rondon, I think he's a ripping fella and will no doubt buy into the club and our fans.

Of course I'd rather see the club sign a younger striker that can develop and improve on his value but considering the circumstances and the length of his deal/money spent I think he's a great option.
