I don’t think he’s changed, but football has. Teams just didn’t dominate possession anywhere near the way they do now.

At least he has a bit of pace and athleticism about him a few players apart we badly lack this

I’d love to see a 100 metre race between him, Gomes, Allan, Gylfi and Tosun. Surely 5 of the slowest players in the league.

You're confusing a lack of effort with just being too old and unfit to actually do anything of note. I don't doubt that he's trying, he's just woefully inadequate as a premier league striker.

Maybe you're right, but I find it a bit scary that a highly paid top flight player could be so unfit and immobile.
