Or words to them effect;

Moyes deserves more credit - Ferguson - Premier League, Football - Belfasttelegraph.co.uk

Sir Alex Ferguson does not feel David Moyes is getting the recognition he deserves for again steering Everton into the Premier League's top six.
Over the past couple of weeks the Toffeemen have held Liverpool at Anfield twice and were only denied a win over Arsenal by Robin van Persie's last-gasp equaliser at Goodison Park on Wednesday.
Everton have also drawn with Chelsea and Ferguson's Manchester United side this season and head to Old Trafford tomorrow looking to maintain that impressive run.
Yet, on each occasion the post-match analysis has concentrated on the frailties of Everton's opponents rather than the achievement of Moyes' side.
Ferguson feels it is time to put the record straight.
"David Moyes has not got the credit he deserves," said Ferguson of his fellow Glaswegian.
"When you take everything into consideration, he has done an incredible job.
"He has not had the resources of other clubs but he got all his younger players on long contracts and built round them with the likes of Phil Jagielka, Tim Cahill and Joleon Lescott.
"The signings he has made have been terrific and it means that he has continuity for the next few years."
Not that Everton's resurgence has been seen in the results they have gained at Old Trafford in recent years.
Since their last triumph in 1992, the Merseyside outfit have mustered just three draws from 15 visits.
Another victory for the Red Devils tomorrow will take them five points clear of nearest challengers Liverpool and Chelsea, who meet at Anfield 24 hours later.
United's progression, on the back of 11 successive clean sheets and six wins on the trot since they returned from Club World Cup action in Japan, has fans hoping for a title hat-trick next May which Ferguson refuses to get drawn into.
During his 23 seasons at Old Trafford, the United manager has seen plenty of different scenarios unfold.
He will never forget the collapse that gifted Leeds the league in 1992, or the failure to score a second goal on the final day at West Ham three years later that allowed Blackburn to finish top.
"The one thing that is inevitable about this league is that there will be shocks," he said.
"Football can kick you in the teeth, so the best way to handle it from our perspective is not get carried away and not make any predictions.
"By doing that we can concentrate on each game and treat it seriously."
For all Ferguson's caution, the return from injury of Rio Ferdinand and Wes Brown for the five-goal hammering of West Brom on Tuesday only reinforces United's strength.
Confirmation that Patrice Evra and Nani have returned to training, and that Wayne Rooney will do so on Monday after a hamstring injury, highlights the depth of the squad.
All three should be available to face West Ham at Upton Park on February 8, while Rooney would make England's friendly with Spain in Seville three days later.
Having failed to capitalise on United's pre-Christmas journey to become world champions, at which time they were seven points behind, Liverpool and Chelsea have only brought their current problems on themselves.
"I didn't really think we would be back at the top so quickly," admitted Ferguson.
"When we came back from Japan we had a recovery mission.
"I knew that when we went there in 1999 we came back and beat Everton 5-1. This time we had an away game at Stoke on Boxing Day, which was a different kettle of fish altogether after an arduous trip from Japan.
"It was a concern. But we managed to squeeze through, which was crucial because it allowed us to get the Japan thinking out of the way.
"Then it was a matter of seeing how much we could close the gap.
"What we are doing at the moment is kicking on and getting good results."

You'll get a lot of this in the run up to tomorrow's game. Both of them will have Benitez in mind when slapping each other on the back - and they can wind that lunatic up as much as they want as far as I'm concerned.

Maybe all true. But there is reason to believe there is a kindred spirit between both of them. Both being from the same town of Glasgow they have both been productive in the coaching ranks whether you like their demeaner or style of play.

[Poor language removed] Fergie he is a bonafide tickturd . He would stab Moyes in the back in a Glasgow Heartbeat . FACT

i like the way this episode of taggart features rooney and wes brown falling out on the cover.:D

Too be honest with you I shouldnt mouth off so much about Fergie as I once went for a meal with work . It was a black tie affair at a posh as you like joint in Alderley Edge . Mid-way through the meal and in walks Taggart . Now I had had a few by then and began to clear my throat ready to give him some well planned abuse but thought better of it when I saw he had his missus with him together with one of his sons and his missus .

So he only goes and sits behind us which I couldnt workout because we were all bladdered or getting there . But to be fair to him he made eye contact with us all and asked us how we were doing . In the end I had a bit of a chat with him at the bar and he was sound probably because I spent much of the five minute chat ****ging Liverpool off :D

I like Ferguson, he usually spouts this [Poor language removed] but he knows what a proper Football club is and recognises how much of a 'proper' football team we are.

Hats off to this man. He may have some faults, but he knows the business. He has turned fortunes around for Utd.

We should ear him and mark his words on everything. He's a scholar on all the matters that concern football.

In fairness I've heard him accept defeat in the past by complimenting the other team - unlike Wenger ("we played poorly") or the caricature across the park who blames everything from refs to craziness.

Ferguson may be arrogant, but he's actually earned the right.

very true, unlike chelsea & rs he puts out teams to play football - i just wish we could afford players of the same class!

I read somewhere that when Moyes was learning his coaching SAF used to put on courses and things, so he knows him from way back probably. It's all very nice him saying Moyes is great but don't let him butter you up, he's planning to smash us.

You gotta love Fergie hes praising Moyes and compleatley ripping the piss out of Ming!

Did anyone hear his press conference today "crazy" and "that is it" comments every two seconds, hes looseing it.

I can see it now if they dont win the title it will be the owners fault for not "giving me 18 million for Gareth Barry" and they call us bitter.
