Run up to the Derby

The Ref will probably play the key part in the Derby once again!!!

Appointment of the match officials is key - but I'm not sure that we have any in this country that are up to the task for this match.

Nah. We got screwed last year and won the year before so this year is when we go in in good form but play like utter turnips and they coast to an easy 2-0 win.

Their contract with the devil seems to have ran out though, so maybe the ref won't dry bum us for nothing this year.

They're all over teams, they just can't put it away. The way we're playing at the moment it's looking like the biggest end to end encounter since the 4-4.

I think it's out best time ever to do it and I hope we do it in style. The Kopites deserve a good battering in style and hope its us.

You're not of course, I could name eight or nine games where a team has parked the bus and we've struggled. It's just I can also name a similar amount of games where a team has played high up the pitch and pressed us and we've struggled or a team has played possession football and we've struggled. It's just less frustating in those occassions.

I don't think it's a tactic we particuarly struggle with more than any others. It tends to be down to our form.

It's the non attempt to change if it's not working until the 80th that irks me, and his down fall at times

Spotting a problem then tweaking it to change in our favour. The closest he's ever done to that is swap the wingers mid game.

That changes, well have a good chance imo. But so far, based on the WBA and newcastle games for eg, its still a problem

We should smash Southampton at home and Wigan away, QPR will be tricky but id still expect us to take 3 points. We'll beat the redsh**e 3-0!

Not sure either of those games our problem was not being able to break down a stubborn defence, West Brom held us at a distance, true, but we got behind Newcastle's loads of times.

The problem at WBA, imo, was Moyes got caught out by Gibson's injury and made the wrong choice as a replacement (Hibbert clearly wasn't ready for 60 minutes). And the problem with newcastle was our defending, Moyes should have seen that Osman and Nevile were tiring and not protecting our defence and done something about it (swapping Fellaini with Osman would have done it or keeping kev on the pitch and replacing one of them two with naismith) but he was concerned with chasing the winner and not with shutting up shop and we got caught out. It happens but I don't think the problem was our attacking play being one dimensional and struggling against a deep defence.
