Strange this. I don't think I'm being unfair in saying that other clubs seem to get deals fully agreed before applying for a work permit. Hopefully we just need to sort out the formalities, shame he couldn't have been available to play Burnley.

From what I've read in the news and whatnot the reason we tried to get a permit before even signing him was because it was unlikely it would be granted as he didn't meet one of the key criteria.

To be fair to LCAB, he has always been spot on. Told me our fixtures well before they were released and he was spot on with them all.

So if we sign Banega, how cup-tied is he for the Europa League, considering he played for Valencia in their qualifier?

LCAB text me saying it was Bilyaletdinov who he was on about

A versatile player, Bilyaletdinov can play on the left wing, in the center of the pitch or in his most comfortable position, just behind the strikers as an attacking midfielder. He possesses a good scoring rate and good passing but he is best known for his dribbling and pace.

Oh great, another second striker......... :D

"We have got the work permit and we hope that we will be able to see him in the next few days.

"He is a player will very good ability and is similar to Mikel Arteta in many ways. He can retain the ball for us and pass it and he will be here for a year on loan.
