Don't know if its already posted, but this quote from Moyes made me laugh - "Ever is on a year's loan. If he's good we will keep him, if he's not we can always send him back" :D:D

yep, I had a laugh at that too. Nothing like making him feel welcome eh! Poor bugger hasnt even got here and the writing is on the wall already.
Seems like DM's hard line with Lescott is extending to other players too.

Wouldnt fancy being on the wrong end of a rollicking from him!

Well donr LCAb but I still don't believe in anything until I see a photo of the player holding a club shirt.

The way transfers are done is way beyond belief with this club, "It is the Everton way."

Strange this. I don't think I'm being unfair in saying that other clubs seem to get deals fully agreed before applying for a work permit. Hopefully we just need to sort out the formalities, shame he couldn't have been available to play Burnley.

As I stated " It is the Everton way" meaning if we can F*** it up we will do our best. We like to make simple things like transfers complicated.

Moyes Hopeful Over Banega – News Archive – News – evertonfc.com – The Official Website of Everton Football Club

I'm very hopefull now of getting this guy.
I'm a little surprised everything hasn't been tied up already, as it's kind of like getting planning permission for land you don't own, but it's positive news at last, and can't see why anything would go wrong.

I think its all agreed for the player to come over, its just up to expenses, wages, medicals, etc to be sorted.

Its like us getting a permit for Messi then asking if we can get him...doesnt make sense unless its been agreed in the 1st place.

Just a thought, but how does this permit work?
Has he been given license to play in England, or has he only been given license to play for Everton in England.
I ask this as what's to stop another club coming in for him over the next few days while we're supposedly finalizing the deal?

I think it is just for Everton, bearing in mind all of the criteria for a successful appeal which included proving we could find no suitable EU employee to do the same job.

Still can't work out the russian thing though LCAB!
