Can Valancia afford to keep him??? I've read reports that their fans are offering to donate money to help the club out. Not progressing in Europe is not an option, hence they may be holding on to him... for now.

The club accepted an offer from Stuttgart for 7.5mil only for Banega to turn down the move down. That should tell you everything you need to know about just how much of a hole they are in.
