Rumour: Banega gets permit , or so I'm told

FYI - just had quick look at a Spanish website and the general consensus is that Ever Banega is not coming to Everton.

You already know most of this.

a/ Banega has been unhappy at Valencia for a while now and sees his long term future away from the club. Fans don't want him sold, are hoping he becomes a 1st team regular and changes his mind.

b/ Atletico had a clause included in their loan to buy him for 10mil. Banega came out publicly said he wanted to stay but Atletico did not exercise their option.

c/ Valencia have huge financial problems and may be forced to sell. In the process of trying to restructure their debt. They see Everton's application for a work permit as a way to try and force Valencia's hand to sell the player due to their debts (strange one).

There's uncertainty over whether Banega would be keen on a move to Everton regardless.

As the above has come from a 'forum' the info may not be accurate, so please don't shoot the messenger.

Just finally, there is universal praise for him. Most have said he is a massive, massive player, who's had a great pre-season. They all agree he has the potential to mature into something very special. Quick with a great passing game and a winners mentality. Would flourish if he was given serious 1st team football/game time. Banega is class

My take on it is that with us selling Lescott, they now realise that we have a good sum of money available and want to push for a permanet transfer instead of a loan deal. Makes sense seems as they are in a huge amount of debt.

We'd gonna run out of money pretty sharpish if they'd want more than 5 mil for him :lol:
 
According to the news website of Holland's biggest weekly footy magazine, Valencia will be signing Jonathan de Guzman this week, as they seek a replacement for Ever Banega, who's Everton bound.

The signing of Banega would be massive. I so hope this is true. Just googled it and the Guzman news is being reported on numerous sites.
 
If we get Banega as well as Bilya I will be made up. Literally will be the best Summer we have had in years.
