Rumour: Banega gets permit , or so I'm told

Had a look at the English version of their web site and no mention on anyone denying it, also no mention of anyone confirming anything either.

Only current thing I could find on Banega was a press confrence from a pre-season game about a week ago.

On the main Spanish one (I admit my Spanish is [Poor language removed]) could not find any current news on him at all.

So will he/won't he, don't think Moyes would go off half cocked so would like to think its a better than even chance of going ahead.

Done the very same thing yesterday evening...nowt there.

Any sane person would take any story from the paps with a huge pinch of salt, 'cause 95% of what's printed is bollocks anyway.

FYI - just had quick look at a Spanish website and the general consensus is that Ever Banega is not coming to Everton.

You already know most of this.

a/ Banega has been unhappy at Valencia for a while now and sees his long term future away from the club. Fans don't want him sold, are hoping he becomes a 1st team regular and changes his mind.

b/ Atletico had a clause included in their loan to buy him for 10mil. Banega came out publicly said he wanted to stay but Atletico did not exercise their option.

c/ Valencia have huge financial problems and may be forced to sell. In the process of trying to restructure their debt. They see Everton's application for a work permit as a way to try and force Valencia's hand to sell the player due to their debts (strange one).

There's uncertainty over whether Banega would be keen on a move to Everton regardless.

As the above has come from a 'forum' the info may not be accurate, so please don't shoot the messenger.

Just finally, there is universal praise for him. Most have said he is a massive, massive player, who's had a great pre-season. They all agree he has the potential to mature into something very special. Quick with a great passing game and a winners mentality. Would flourish if he was given serious 1st team football/game time. Banega is class

Valencia's wesbite would surely come out and deny something like this if it was true.

For example, if they came out and said they where signing Mikel Arteta out of the Blue I'm sure even our offical website (one of the worst for updating) would deny something like this.

I think he's coming, maybe that's blind faith on my behalf though.

You only have to look at the youtube video of him to plainly see he has GENUINE talent . I am hoping that atlast we will see a defensive midfielder with a perchant for going forward of a class denied from us the supporters for far too long . I too hope we see this bloke walk through the doors

Of course it is complicated. We have got a work permit but apparently the player knows nothing about this and naturally it is all news to Valencia. Does Banega even know where Everton are??
