Ross the boss Barkley

Great performance again tonight from the lad. Where do you see him playing this season what position and how good can this lad get. Just watching him again then on tv and he does remind me of young wayne the way he wants the ball and driving forward and the lad shows no fear.

He was immense when he was in his position. Looked a little bit less interesting on the wings but still good.
As far as nicknames go, I was thinking we could make him the new "Is right rossi larr" :3

I,d like to see him played in the centre. He seems to have that drive in him where you could see him running at defences from midfield, banging balls in to our front man and linking up again, i could see him scoring goals in that kinda role where he can play off the cuff knowing fellaini is back there mopping things up for him

Hope the lad starts Saturday vs Spurs for his Everton debut interestingly we played Spurs in the opening day of Wayne Rooneys debut too

He's been hyped up to the point of lunacy, a few months ago nobody really knew much about him at all, then a few PR comments and a smattering of praise from Tim Cahill later and he's suddenly the next Robben or something.

Calm down lads.

looked quite tidy tonight but still a long way to go. i think we should concentrate on getting the best out of rodwell 1st so we can flog him in jan and then give this kid a shout. we will get found out if we try and blood two kids in the same midfield, especially with seamus bombin down the right!

he's probably going to be a centre midfielder, but like all our centre midfielders he must first play very well on the wing for a couple seasons before he gets a go there, its the david moyes way.

not complaining at all, it seems to work out well, something about having to play where the team needs you, rather than where you want to, i think barkley is good enough to take the osman/arteta route and eventually end up a central midfielder.

A few months ago, hardly anybody would have seen him on a football pitch though, hence not much being said then...

During pre-season, it's obvious to anyone who has eye's that the lad has an immense amount of talent compared to the rest of our youngsters, and probably more talent already than 90% of the first team. Highly promising of course, only time will tell if he and the club makes the right decisions to maintain his progression.

So, in a time of little to be excited about as an Everton fan, it's understandable to want something to be excited about.

I think there has been strong sense that Barckley was something special for a couple of years if im honest - as with Hope now who we have known about since 14.

I think he will be in and out of the team this year i can see him getting about 15 odd games as a sub etc maybe starting 1 or 2.

*I see Barckley to everyone threads somewhere in our future.

I can't wait till he has a bad run of form and then he takes over Vic's mantle as the scapegoat. One thing it gives Ossie, Hibbo and Rodwell a rest. Funny really, because it seems the guys who have come through the ranks get more criticism.

Back on topic, Ross is some talent and I think he will have a major role by the end of the season. I was genuinely excited when I saw our midfield yesterday.

Anichebe - 23
Fellaini - 23
Rodwell - 20
Barkley - 17
Coleman - 22
