I can see you disagree with my comment but it would be interesting to here your opinion.
Its been on the rumour mill that he agreed personal terms with Spurs months ago and was told to sit pretty until today so Levy could prize him away for peanuts.
If that's not disrespectful I don't know what is. The lad may appear 'thick' but he's clearly intelligent enough to be told what to do by his advisors/agent.
Wait for the 11th hour 18million bid from Levy. And/or Ross to hand in a transfer request by tea time.
1. Its a rumour, not even a particularly strong one as most people seemed to believe no top club would want him this summer.
2. Im not going to judge him because of a rumour
3. Even if it's true then I don't really see it as much of a problem. I've agreed personal terms with potential employers whilst working at another job, millions do it. Ultimately he has a very short career like all footballers and for whatever reasons isn't happy at Everton and wants to do whatever is possible to get the move. He's kept his head down, made no mention of it whatsoever, came back to training on time and just got on with his life.
I can't really have sympathy for Everton for not getting better money because they could have offered him a contract last summer. We also regularly try and ship players off before their contracts run out.... so I find it a bit hypocritical to get on my high horse over contract situations when clubs regularly try and force their way out of contracts if they decide they no longer want a player.
