Ya exactly mate.was just thinking jesus ross must have only touched the ball a couple of times c'mon get into the game then bang two assists.
I know he is primarily an offensive player but would love to see him up his defensive side of things.would make him into an absolute animal of a player if he did.

I think it really stretches the definition of the word "assist" to give him one for the first goal
Was thinking the same thing .. Playing a ball into a channel for rom to beat 5 men isn't really setting up the goal imo

Barkley is still developing as a footballer so is going to have ups and downs, he is having less and less downs. I think he has gone off the boil a bit lately but instead of letting it affect him, he just goes back to keeping it simple and playing the obvious as Saturday showed. A big learning curve in his development.
While he needs to work on a few things the lad is not far off being the finished article. Barkley has the rest of the season and a Wembley showcase semi final to show the football world what he is made of. The Euros will be a big step for him and I fully expect he will set it alight.
