Ross Barkley

And Lukaku, mouthing off every international break, didn't set a bad example?

He's a good player. If he's here and fit come September he'll be in the squad.

Lukaku had absolutely no intention of running his contract out and leaving for free to be fair.

The whole episode is just another example of Ross not having any conviction. Wants to leave, has no guts to say it, feels no one will pay a big fee for him, so opts for running the contract down, to make his price more appealing for any buyers.

I suspect Barkleys injury and subsequent delay in any transfer deal is behind the Sigurdsson deal going quiet :(

You don't feel he will be in any way guided by his agent then?

Lot of assumptions that.

Why does he have to go out to the press? No one's interviewed him like they did to Lukaku who took it on himself to say he wanted to leave.

Don't forget, Rom stewed on a £140k a week contract offer for a year, 99% gonna sign and all that.
