Also - not to labour the point. At a very similar point in his career, Frank Lampard had 39 goals in 187. Ross currently has 31 in 197. So not quite as good - but in the neighbourhood.
At that point in his career, Lampard left West Ham for Chelsea. In his first season at Chelsea he scored 7 goals in 53 games. Season after, 8 in 48.
It was only in his 3rd season - hitting his mid 20s - he suddenly exploded a bit and scored 15.
Again - just saying - players of Ross's nature tend not to be the finished article at 23. For me he's shown enough to suggest he's going the right way and will get better. He may not be ever be a world class talent at the level of Lampard/Gerrard etc - but I think he can be a very high level player and I think he can improve from where he is.
