whoever the talksport presenters were last night they had it bang on

talking about a ross to man u for a cash plus cleverley deal

they said it would be far better for ross to stay where he is, playing for a team who are gonna bring you along correctly, play you when you're fit and itching to play, rest you when you require a rest, and giving you the freedom to express yourself on the pitch

they summed it up as a very creative footballer playing under one of the prem's most creative managers

was so respectful of what Martinez has done so far, but a bit of a slight at Moyes too, in terms of Ross's development anyway

stay where you are Ross

Cleverley is Grand Canyon size gash. So what would that deal be then? 35m cash, or 40m cash + Cleverley

I just remembered something.

Moyes says Ross lacked discipline because he played at times "as though he was playing with his pals on the park"

Bobby acknowledges Ross's naivety but wants him to go out and express himself and learn from making mistakes.

Not another Moyes bashing, just an acknowledgement of different philosophies. But you can bet your arse Moyes would be playing Naismith ahead of Ross

We were awful yesterday, even allowing for Stoke's dismal tactics and contribution. When the ref added seven minutes at the end, I thought it didn't matter, we would not have scoredif he had put on another 70.
The game was crying out for a young, fearless pup to run down the middle....once again Ross Barkley was left on the bench. The rumblings have begun about his contract. How do you think he feels knowing we are a crap team- and he can't get in it? I would be off

Just to bump the original post (OP) from the 5th December 2011, which is just over 2 years ago after a 0-1 home loss to Stoke City, who we dispatched comfortably this season at home 4-0 just 15 days ago.

Never thought I'd see him playing so much. It's crazy how things can change like that...

Well in Ross lad.
