Nowhere in that does Moyes say he wants Barkley or that they would offer 50mil, yet both are made out to be fact.

Except clubs use their local paper for stories like this (can remember silva to city in the MEN a good few weeks before the national papers), so wouldn't be shocked if they want him. Reckon if the first offer is £35m then bill will try to hold out like with Fellaini and lescott to get something like £45-50m, and seeing as the mancs are desperate to make a big signing or two in January then bill will think he can shaft them again
