Lol, who's going to 'sing' it to him?

Spelling aside, we need him to stay but what is a contract extension on paper worth these days?

i hope they have got it in writing that he will sign on his birthday. None of the gentlemen's agreement stuff that the luvvies do!

So you want him to sign a contract to say that he'll sign a contract?

Its great he has signed on but where is he on the team sheet? If he is our NEXT big thing why aren't we blooding him? Games against top teams would do him the world of good then playing in the reserves.

I am far from a Moyes apologist, but I think he has done the right thing in shielding the likes of Barclay from our current run of fixtures - anyone without blue tinged specs could see that there were maybe 4 points from the 15 available in the run of games from city to united (actually looking like it could be zero unless we get something from fulham). better to let the young lads avoid being part of this run and bring them in fresh when we face opponents we can compete with.

I cling to the hope that this has been a deliberate plan, and we will see the likes of barclay, gueye, vellios etc more involved after the united game.

I think Moyes is keeping him out because that game where he messed up really hurt him mentally. I think he wants to protect him so he doesnt lose his confidence and slowly introduce hiim and putting him up against big teams that have world class players will increase the possibility of him messing up. Hopefullu he will play against fulham

I bet wenger thought the same thing when he started Wilshire against barcalona and they won 2.1 with him being the best player on the park...
