Brendan Janus
Player Valuation: £40m
The player of the tournament so far for England. He's bossing it in the middle of the park.
We'd be mad not to go for him if there's a chance of getting him.
I agree, but needs a few more killer balls !

The quote was "I've spent my whole career with Everton and Man Utd. I can say I'll never play for another Premier League club" - the implication being apart from those two - which doesn't preclude him coming back here.Aren't we another premier league club though? To me he's saying if he ever leaves Man Utd it will be to move abroad.

Says who, exactly? He won't come because all he cares about is money. When United show him the door he'll go to the US like every other former England international.
I would love to see him play again for Everton but we can't justify spending > 200k a week on someone > 30 and who would also need a decent transfer fee.
It doesn't make sense does it ?
No mate, it makes no sense at all. Which is why my brain can't comprehend these threads popping up out of thin air in the Everton forum every 3 months
It's fueled by people wanting to see him in an Everton shirt again which I can relate to !
Unless Man Utd let him leave for free (yeah right ) and he's willing to half his wages (won't happen) it doesn't make sense for us now he is over 30.
It's not about the money! It's about moving forward. I am bewildered and enraged with how some people can't see what PR disaster this would be.It's fueled by people wanting to see him in an Everton shirt again which I can relate to !

Still got the class but is becoming slow and is only going to get slower. My heart says yes, my head no.
