Ronald Koeman's Reign As Everton Manager A Retrospective

Blue Pride

Player Valuation: £500k
I'm going to through this theory out to the floor, although i'm aware it might not be a popular one etc. In Ronald Koeman's first season as Everton manager we finished 7th. No manager since had equalled or bettered that position.

We then lost Ross Barkley and Romelu Lukaku that summer and pretty much got our signings all wrong as well . Too many players of the same type etc. We failed to adequately replace those players.

I'm not sure it was all on him though and perhaps the blame was more on Steve Walsh's side of things. Moshiri liked sticking his size nines in as well.

Getting rid of Koeman signalled the start of trigger happy impatient Everton, and if we kept faith with Ronald Koeman we would have been spared Big Fat Sam, the fat Kopite and the second of David Moyes, and could very well be in a better and stronger position today.

So yes i do think Ronald Koeman was harshly treated as Everton manager and he was more undermined by the club being a total and utter basket case, as opposed to being a bad manager himself. So anyway what do the rest of you think?
