Ronald Koeman discussion

To me, he looks wide all the time instinctively. Ironically Martinez would have been delighted with him. Compare that to Barkley who instinctively looks for a forward pass. That's the difference in quality. It's why @bluestevon 's analogy with Carrick earlier is slightly awry, imo. Carrick was/is also a player who looks ahead and will only go wide as a secondary option.

Hahahaha, No Dave, just no.

Ways and means lad.

Dont confuse being a disciplinarian with acting like a snide. The two aren't the same.

You can't be a snide if you're knifing people in the front. Like it or loathe it there's simply no arguing with Koeman's approach and every player knows it. He'll ball you out in public if you're not up to it and he doesn't care one jot. He's driving standards up and the players are reacting positively to it. There's not been a murmur of discontent from anyone in the squad. This is how a proper manager does things Dave, he's in complete control, can you imagine a player coming out questioning him or a group of them changing tactics mid game off their own bat then telling the world over tv that they did it?

This place was a circus but now the ringmaster is in the house. Enjoy it Dave, you're watching a top pro at work here.

No mate. I watched HK take us to glory and though he was no soft touch and could swing the odd verbal haymaker he didn;t need t revert to that. He;s what I call 'Everton class'.

Imo, Koeman's antics are more suited to a Liverpool manager: arrogant and full of themselves and taking people down in public. That's not our way and never will be. Just my opinion like, I hope thats ok.

Its an English thing that, looking to go forward all the time.

Its also the reason why England are rubbish at football.
