Koeman must have seen Kenwright's special transfer phone.

No wonder we don't get anywhere if he's got Chico on speed dial

But, of course, Hodgson is not an 'abject failure'...his CV is good .....managed extensively at club level and international level and very well thought of at club level in Europe.International success with Switzerland(?) if my memory is right. He's had a good career in management has Roy. Don't forget that not winning the world cup with England doesn't make you a bad manager.[/Q

Don't forget, when these pecker heads take up another management role and pick up their fat wage cheques they are preventing younger/decent managers the chance to learn their trade, ensuring that the top table so called elite managers carry on raking it on the largest gravy train merry go round in the world.

Hodgson has not got the decency to hold his hand up and admit he has not got a clue after all the money he has raked in.

And while I'm at it, if Koeman has got a 3 year strategy and then off, it doesn't work as the players (especially the older ones)
have not got the incentive to pull out all the stops. If your a player, you need to know that if you're not putting in 100%, the manager is there to kick you up the backside and he will be there to do that indefinitely.

His current contract is a three-year deal pal

“We have no restrictions to spend”

Moshiri said. “We tried to buy [Kalidou] Koulibaly of Napoli and they wanted £60m. It is monopoly money. We went right to the asking price and they decided not to sell."

Sniff it damp sheets.
Because if a boss at Everton says something about money history has shown us it is always reliable!

Ye because the previous manager having an 'I'm here until I die or results get so embarrassing that nobody can ignore them' contract really gave the players an incentive and made them put 100% in didn't it.

Liked the post for use of "pecker head".

Stan's grandpa in South Park always used to say that.

Love that. Essentially: "We tried to sign a defender for 60m, but because their club refused to sell, we decided to leave huge holes all over our squad and settle for a negative net spend instead".

Something doesn't quite add up really.

Well, as it stands here is here for three years.

That is based on the contract he has signed.

So there is absolutely nothing wrong with him stating a 'three-year plan', because as it stands that's how long he'll be here for.

...3 years is probably more than average for any manager in this day and age. If they succeed they tend to move on, if they fail they get sacked.

...one point about the 'type' of forward we are linked with, the indication is he wants somebody to work alongside Lukaku. Unless that player comes deep to receive the ball we could have a void in midfield because Barry and Guey will look to get behind the ball and a gap will appear to the forwards.

We saw it on Sunday with Mirallas, his natural game is to get alongside or beyond Lukaku resulting in us playing long balls. Barkley on the other hand fills that void, he drops to receive passes. This is why I keep talking about the 'type' of player RK wants and not posting names that might not fit the team model.
