It depends on individual. But if you throw £150k per week contract to a player normally he will stay.
At Spurs they seem to be signing up the bulk of their key players on extended contracts on less than £150k a week. The odd one out two would command fees equal to or greater than the suggested value of RL but at Spurs you see a club that clearly is delivering as opposed to talking about delivering.
If as some suggest RL is worth north of £60 million then his worth in wage terms is signifactenly higher than £150 k a week it's more like £200 -£250 k a week. If you want to talk about transfer values you can't ignore the wages that are being paid elsewhere.
RL was never going to be at Everton long term , I think we all know that.
To date there has been a lot of promises hints of delivery but has there really been progression ?
Try looking at it through his eyes and not through blue tinted glasses.RL like 99.9%of players won't care about a balance sheet indeed look at Arsenal and Sanchez he is on top wages, wants more pay but it's about playing ambition and based on what you know as fact will Everton be able to break in the top four with the likes of Man City and Chelsea clearly looking to spend big as will Man City?.
Put in the mix Spurs and Arsenal and unfortunately Liverpool for me that suggests Everton s squad requires significant investment and I am not talking about £100 million I am talking possibly double that to even stand a chance, albeit even then remote, to finnish higher that 3 of the teams I mention above
With the rigours of the EL players who have done ok this year simply too old or not of a standard to deliver week in week out through an entire season and the youngsters whilst promising will inevitably go through dips in form and need to be taken out the firing line.
