As I say, if he plays and starts throwing them in for England then I doubt Carlo puts him anywhere near the Derby.

By the same token if Southgate drops him, it might give Carlo a push to do the same.

As I say, slight possibility with many factors.

I think Pickford will play for England. Pope has been worse than Pickford and Henderson is not getting regular PL minutes. It's his shirt to lose.

For us, Id imagine PIckford starts, but at this point, who knows? Ancelotti is a decisive man.

Reminds me of RBL's Gulacsi but with more errors in him. Hopefully he's a blinder and surprises us all.

We only see snips of other teams' goalies and Pope has not shown up well at all with at least one bad error. I prefer him to Pickford mind, but Pope is not much better than most PL keepers, all of whom with two exceptions are making regular blunders.

I agree with you it makes no sense but this is more a complete lack of faith in Lossl than it is Pickford. Lossl will be bombed out to a League 1 club or whatever you'd assume.
