That is the problem with Martinez, he does some really good things and then some really bad things. Frustrating.

You are a gaping anus of a man.
Where did it all start? Watching foreign football on S4C? James Richardson sipping Expresso and not wearing socks? Long haired Argentinians bullying dull defences in Serie A? Tedious "tiki taka" teams over celebrating a few passes?
You're from a shitty peninsula in the north west of England. Before you start to pour scorn on your beloved flair teams being beaten by well run teams you should learn about the game of your country first. Then, once you've giving a semblance of understanding about the game, you can proceed to watching foreign football to your heart's content.
But at the moment you are nothing more than a sneering kopite who is easily seduced by a step over. If you knew your Everton you would appreciate that it's greatest teams could dominate through the physical side of the game as much as the technical.
You utter throbbing cockshaft.

Look mate I don't know who you are but I can tell you this: you don't know football. LVG has come over here with an unfortunate nose and shown in two years that he knows more about football than the average British fan of the game. When he used Fellaini he said it was because "in England you need also the physical". He knows that, I know that, but to make out it's more valuable than decision making and technical skill makes a mockery of every champion side of the last 100 years.
Just tell us where the Holy Foreskin of Christ is hidden

Yesterday was a massive let down. To capitulate on such a day was a heart breaker.
Next week doesn't fill me with hope, Arsenal are going well.
After last season, and I mean the season not just the last few weeks, we were very poor. In the transfer window we didn't bring in the players we needed.
Having said that we have progressed, we are better than we were.
We have injuries in key places.
All the above considered Martinez is moving us in the right direction.
He plays Naismith when he clearly isn't good enough to start.
He does't play Mirellas after keeping him.
He plays two defensive mid-fielders who don't work well together.
He plays forward players who defend.
Martinez is making mistakes.
Bit of me is saying last year getting beaten by Man Utd wouldn't have hurt so much because we would nearly have expected it, so has he brought us to the stage were we now should beat these teams.
The next window will be a big test for him, as a team with the players he has I think we are under-performing. He needs to hang on to the talent and ship on some dead wood. He needs to bring in one or two good players.
My opinion is that he is building a squad that will play at the top end of the table when he has got everyone in place. I think he will move us on again in the next window.
I think he will but I'm not sure I believe he will.
This one step forward followed by two steps back followed by two steps forward saps the belief.
Martinez has moved the squad forward undoubtedly. The purchases of Lukaku, Deulofeu and the evolution of Barkley and Stones have added genuine quality right through the spine of the team. He deserves praise for delivering what I believe is now a top 4 squad.
What he doesn't deserve praise for is getting mid table performances out this squad. He has not addressed the goalkeeping situation, this is a recurring problem every week, it is baffling how he let the summer pass believing this didn't need to be addressed. He has still not created a balanced midfield. Barkley is out of position, Barry and McCarthy remain undroppable despite genuine alternative options, and his first choice wide pairing when everyone is fit would be Cleverley and Kone, despite the likes of Mirallas and Deulofeu on the bench.
What worries me most is that even after two seasons we are still inconsistent. We can just as easily beat United 3-0 at home as lose horribly by the same score line. At times the lineup looks like the best attacking front line in the league, at times it looks like the one that laboured to 12th last year. Some of the best football this season is followed by genuinely some of the worst I've seen in recent times from Everton.
Perhaps what worries me the most is that plan A: possession, split centrebacks, playing from the back, ball retention, full backs forward etc. Has worked once this season against Chelsea and failed nearly all of last season. The Southampton win came from counter attacking and the West Brom one from Gibson playing forward quickly then Del crossing into the box. But every game we seem to start with the same plan A that doesn't work and see if we can change it. Sometimes it works, the defence holds out and your subs can win it. Other times it doesn't your a few down and the game is gone. We have conceded first a lot of times this season. A top manager by now has an effective system of playing and knows his first 11. Martinez has neither at the moment. I maintain that there are ingrained problems with how we play that Martinez does not seem willing to change. If he can recognise them and adapt we have the squad to get top 4. If he can't we'll be midtable.
Great words by Roberto there. There's a lot to like about Martinez. I'd love for him to succeed not just because if he does then Everton succeed but because he gets represents Everton so well and gets what it's all about.
Further proof here.

Would you trust Robles over Howard?
I'm not sure we have a top 4 squad yes with no Europe and hopefully not many injuries as we move into the winter and the new year if are best players perform All year I think we could be close but ultimately we will probably miss outMartinez has moved the squad forward undoubtedly. Half of the thread is people moaning about people moaning.Yeah, embarrassing isn't it. Having certain threads that are only used when we lose a game to randomly attack the manager.
It's not as if there are any threads there to congratulate a managers tactics when we win, you get one or two posters on here after a win just to make a point but this thread has been about moaning and calling for his sacking ever since it was started, on pretty much the day his appointment was announced.
And we laugh at the Kopites for 'Standing by their Manager' until they don't. Half on here don't even bother with that pretence. Now THAT'S embarrassing.
