Richarlison - winger or striker?

Would he be best out wide and we buy another striker, or best up top and we buy a winger?

CF for me, I think he could play wide later in his career as in a 433 system. In 442 he’s asked to do to much defensive work. And ends up have 2 or 3 men around nearly every time he gets the ball. And 50yrds from their goal.

He needs to be high up the pitch

Edit:- what I meant about when he’s older, he still makes poor decisions when he’s deep.

He is either a centre forward in a 4 4 2 or a wide forward in a 4 3 3.

We shouldn't be playing him on the left wing of a 4 4 2.

Either. He's great alongside Calvert-Lewin but he's our best winger too. Whatever shape the team is in he can play well. You can't say that about many of our players.

I'm voting striker but I do think playing him wide in a system that isn't asking him to hug the touchline or bomb crosses would be fine

Since the alternative is Iwobi or Sigurdsson. I'd rather Richarlison out wide left and Kean up top with DCL.

A good baller like him can do both and should do both throughout the game to confuse a defence.

Striker for me, would like to se him play along side DCL more & get a better understanding between them both...

He definitely likes scoring goals & is very quick in the box...

He is very good at both. Problem is, we don’t even have an actual central midfielder so we are trying to compensate by playing one less guy in the middle. Problem with that is Gordon is the only winger that resembles an actual footballer atm.
