Reports: Besic to Middlesbrough

Muhamed Bešić could be set to join Middlesbrough on loan, according to TEAMtalk.
The Bosnian international midfielder has not started a league game this season, and Sam Allardyce is ready to sanction a move.

A number of clubs from Europe have already been in touch with Everton, but Boro are hoping he could be persuaded to bolster their promotion push.

The Teessiders have space in their squad for a new midfielder having allowed Adam Forshaw to join Leeds in a £4million deal earlier this month.

Boro boss Tony Pulis has stated he will not be spending any cash this month, despite it being available, but he is open to bringing at least two players in on-loan – one of which he hopes could be Besic.

Will be sad when he leaves us permanently, even if he never really made an impact here. Just like the cut of his jib, and think he could have been really good for us, with just the right amount of snide and fight, which it seems is sadly lacking in our club the last few years.

Some of these guys are so far removed from playing, sending them on loan at the right level and hoping they perform is about the only way to get interest in a permanent deal. Assuming we will have a new manager and possibly a new D of F, giving them as many individuals to evaluate and sell is a good thing.

I like him but his time is definitely up, should look for a £8m 'ish' fee if that is in anyway obtainable and move him on. He doesn't have a future here because even if we cut our losses with Schneiderlin and Klassen we'll definitely buy replacements for both so his path to the first team will stay blocked.

He'll be a good player for someone if he can stay injury free.
