I’ve noticed lately that there’s been a rise in some members (a minority) trying to force a religious allegiance on to Everton.
Do not do it.
Nether Everton not Liverpool are affiliated with a particular religion. Yes, both clubs came from a Methodist background and yes there is a Protestant Church in Goodison and yes there was an Irish influx of players and supporters mid-20th Centrury. As you can see, that fosters diversity and not separatism, one of the things that makes our renowned community spirit.
This is not Glasgow, this is not the 1950’s.
Stop it. Thankfully most will not need this warning, but it must be nipped in the bud.
