Sad but probably true.

We got an absolutely unexpected reprieve by beating Utd while they lost to Norwich, but failing to get 3pts last night basically ruined that.

My heart broke that night we lost to Burnley.

We’ve been relegated about 3 times already on here so far this season. After losing to Norwich, after losing to Burnley and now after Burnley have won and are still behind us!
Sunday at Anfield is a nightmare fixture for us but we could get something from Chelsea, then Leicester away who will be on the back of a 2 legged semi final in Rome.
I get this is a disastrous season, but to write us off as already down with 7 games left if just daft.

I keep moving the goalposts mentally I admit but I won’t fully panic unless Burnley beat Wolves on Sunday.

Sky would love us to get relegated...not quite sure I understand why as surely you would want the big teams in the premier league

What "big games" do we ever provide for them? We roll over and get our tummy tickled 99% of the time in games against the "big clubs". We offer nothing to sky from a tv perspective. Now us in the championship? Thats a different story. We'll be useful to sky down there, especially if we're losing most weeks.

I’ve just gone through and guessed results through the end of the season… we end on 37 points and Leeds/Burnley each on 38. It’s close. BUT there’s a very real chance that on April 30, we are on 29 points and Burnley and Leeds are both on 34. Scary.

If that's the case then it's over, when the need is desperate for us, our boys will disintegrate.

I made the mistake of looking at Burnley's fixtures left.

Apart from Spurs away they have teams with absolutely nothing left to play for. Villa twice, Newcastle last game. Watford will probably have giving up by then.

They will be up for it but will lose heavily as they are not as good footballers as the Liverpool footballers.

Still we don’t need to roll over like we usually do, making a fight of it is the least they can do for the club that pays there wages.
