Referees v Everton

It'll never happen, but adding time onto the game is not working to stop time wasting. Count to 10, if they're still not making a move, just put them in the book. If they drop with cramp, tell them to get off the pitch. If they don't leave at the nearest point when subbed, book them. If its a second yellow, send them off and don't allow the sub. It'd take about 3 weeks for them to stop time wasting, or as the media have started to call it, game management.

The ref was abysmal and this 'new' directive, not giving free kick for falling over when there is no real challenge, will only apply to teams that play the preferred top 6. They will still have the refs in their pockets and the media blind to what is happening - MOTD didn't show the Sterling dive - for obvious reasons as they'd have to comment on it. But did show the tackle on Henderson that was in the build up to Fulham's first goal. I think VAR even reviewed it and said it was too far back to disallow the goal. Same old, same old. The FA/Premier League can't have the established top 6 challenged for those positions as it would make a mockery of the European Super league with guaranteed places for the RS, City, Manu, Chelsea, Arsenal and Spurs. All the rest of us are fighting to get a place in the newly established European Conference tournament. It's going to be a long hard season for us with biased refs with dodgy decisions. We need to be more robust in our criticism of refs., particularly the garbage FIFA lot and write complaints to the BBC, Sky and BT Sports over their game coverage. Didn't hear if Ferguson took umbrage with the Sterling dive in his post match comments.

Could you imagine the fuss if a Liverpool player broke his leg after the ball had gone out of play, there’d be an investigation and it would be mentioned every game on sky. Don’t think it’s been mentioned at all about Godfrey.

It actually looked worse as well with the VAR. Corrupt as feck
Only if you don't understand what you're looking at, and how the rules of the game are interpreted. It was a cynical tackle but it wasn’t serious foul play. He hasn’t caught him with his studs across the knee and his studs were down, it was clearly only a yellow.

I thought the ref had the usual level of incompetence/bias against us again last night.

After the extremely worrying interventions from the refs last year one wonders if they already are going to try and push us toward the trap door.
