Found the following article from a professor at Santa Clara Law School. Basically saying that the valuation of the billion dollar award is overstated. Samsung may be guilty but I agree with the general conclusion that the award is excessive.

So I'm out to buy a new phone.

I was looking at Samsung Galaxy and iPhone today.
Which one is best?

(For my wallet, it will be to buy iPhone, seeing as it is like 300 pounds cheaper!)

So can someone tell me the prices for the phones in England?

Seems to be concentrating on the OS rather than the phone.

S3 seems to piss on the Iphone5 on paper, the One X on par.

Lacking behind in the phones is apple.

I agree it seems they are focusing on the software. The only real notable changes are the 4" screen and addition of LTE. At least they have world LTE rather than the US/Canada only frequesncies they did with the iPad, leaving the rest of the world in the lurch.

I dunno, it just seems like a small evolution. For the company who revolutionised the smartphone market, I was hoping for something more.......

It will still sell shed-loads though.

I might invest in a new phone soon, my Desire HD is deteriorating quite rapidly in performance. Looking at Android. Luckily my work runs marketing campaigns and I might be able to get my hand on a Samsung or HTC in the next few months for half the retail price...
