I think i predicted 12th at the start of the season (Cant actually remember). Obviously anything away from bottom few is good. We may sneak into the top 10, But obviously we could be saying in a few months something different if we are on a bad run etc

Continuing our current PPG achieved from the first 7 games, for the rest of the season, would see us finish on 60 points.

That’s usually some sort of European qualification, but I’d still be happy with “top half”, considering how poor we’ve been these last few seasons.

10 or 11 home wins would be my target. Important to have a really strong first season at BMD.

Genuinely can't remember the last time it was double figure wins at Goodison, there was 9 wins in 21/22 and team were one bad result away from going down that season.

35 points from home games and you don't need that many good results on the road to be top 10.

The lack of goals upfront will probably stop that though, clearly a striker short in this season's squad.

In no particular order I think the six teams below will all finish above Everton simply due to the size and quality of their squads. Some might claim Newcastle and Tottenham are not shoo ins which I understand but realistically I don't see Everton finishing above either this season.

Arsenal
Liverpool
Manchester City
Chelsea
Newcastle
Tottenham

After that it really depends on so many variables. How will Crystal Palace get on playing Thursdays and Sundays as the season progresses? Will Utd keep Amorim? How long with Forest persist with Ange? Have Aston Villa really turned the corner? Will Bournemouth keep up their excellent form?

I am confident Everton will finish higher than:

Burnley
Wolves
Leeds
West Ham
Sunderland
Brentford
Fulham
Nottingham Forest (they overachieved last season when assessing various metrics, they have to manage European football and Ange factor)

So that would leave Everton 12th if no further improvement upon the above.

I see Everton fighting out 7th-12th with the grouping of

Bournemouth
Crystal Palace
Brighton
Aston Villa
Manchester United

Forest have the players to be in this grouping as well save for the above reservations but I think Everton can finish higher than them and if they stick with Ange for too long (he has lost 30 of the last 49 Premier League games he has managed) they could be facing a relegation battle.

On balance, I think Everton will finish 10th.
