Absolute agongy.

The 3G ones hurt less but you get tiny bits of black plastic everywhere. Literally everywhere.

Besic sliding tackles.......

Made that mistake myself, first time I played on one, years ago mind you. Was ruined for weeks after when I couldnt bend a leg cos the scabby burnt skin kept cracking and took ages to heal properly. Hurt as well when the bed sheets stuck to the wound.

New astro doesn't graze as bad but it still makes the ball bounce and react differently compared to grass. Definite advantage for the home side but we should still have more quality than them for it not to count.

The 3g pitches are better than the old Astros alrite but gimmie a grass pitch any day of the week. I seem to recall spurs struggling on it a few years ago. A score draw I would happily take now.
