Well that’s the CL dream gone and more than likely the EL spot gone as well. Very good performance for 60 minutes but you cannot give easy goals and penalties to a team like this. Perked back up after they’d taken the lead but too little too late. Got to hand it to Verrati, Mbappe and Messi though who are on another planet.

It's a home tie this afternoon against bottom of the table Greuther Furth after a deflating but very decent (mostly) performance midweek against PSG. This is an obvious must win for both the club and Marsch's future who I think is certainly feeling the pressure now; there were a couple of quotes this week of him digging players out and naming them which is never a strong sign from a manager. One of those players he absolutely destroyed in an interview - Beni Henrichs - starts today so let's see how he does. Should be a win but anything less and I wonder if the club might get an itchy trigger finger. Unbeaten in 4 league games and a win could take them as high as 6th.
