I remember being at a game at Hendon FC, the amateur team I supportHope he getssue care and attention he deserves. A bloody horrible disease. A player of before my time but my Dad has great memories of him. All the best Ray
When I was a 13 year-old I was at a game at Hendon FC, the amateur team I often went to see. It was 1966 and when an announcement was made that the England team was I the crowd I looked over my shoulder and saw Gordon Banks standing just behind me. There was no sign of Ray, but when I left the game I saw him sitting on his own on the team coach. I waved like a lunatic but he didn't look up . That was sad but this is sadder. Good luck Ray, my dad and his mum contracted Alzheimers and I am probably headed for it, too. I'm just glad I was able to send this message of support first.Hope he gets all the care and attention he deserves. A bloody horrible disease. A player of before my time but my Dad has great memories of him. All the best Ray
