There was a article about it in the mirror a few weeks ago horrific really, he goes to watch his local team Huddersfield and by the time he gets home can't remember the match.
One of my dads favourite players

Along with Bally and Nev, one of the three best in the world we've had post - war.

Hope he gets the treatment and care he deserves.

Hope he getssue care and attention he deserves. A bloody horrible disease. A player of before my time but my Dad has great memories of him. All the best Ray
I remember being at a game at Hendon FC, the amateur team I support

When I was a 13 year-old I was at a game at Hendon FC, the amateur team I often went to see. It was 1966 and when an announcement was made that the England team was I the crowd I looked over my shoulder and saw Gordon Banks standing just behind me. There was no sign of Ray, but when I left the game I saw him sitting on his own on the team coach. I waved like a lunatic but he didn't look up . That was sad but this is sadder. Good luck Ray, my dad and his mum contracted Alzheimers and I am probably headed for it, too. I'm just glad I was able to send this message of support first.
