RANGERS

He has never ever looked like quality manager potential to me. Cracking player in his day, no doubt, but to me seems way too Stevie Me centric.

May well be wrong, but him at Rangers could be an absolute hoot.

Glasgow is way out of his comfort zone. He wont shift further north than Southport without his mates to do his fighting for him. Imagine him getting in the middle of an OF controversy, he'd be filleted.

Quite.

Legal system slightly different up there. Just a thought, y'know.

Seriously this is like when Celtic hired John Barnes. This has disaster written all over it.

It just looks a horrendous idea , I can’t believe king has gone for it .

There is at least one of them lads, I’m sure loads more , but deffo one he doesn’t want anywhere near Glasgow when he’s managing one of the old firm .

Great timing though isn’t it? Forget he is the last man to personally deny Rodgers any respectable silverware for a minute, so I get why the Rangers fans are excited. His ego is that big, the German lad’s popularity is growing, it must make you want to spit in disgust. Klopp is untouchable at the moment, they didn’t even link arms & celebrate their latest draw against West Brom this time, so he must be doing alright. Stevie can’t be having any of this nonsense can he?

Personally, I’d rather he stayed where he is because his ego is that big, he’d undermine the demented one quickly given the chance. But what do you do when the spotlight isn’t on your big shiny forehead for once? I know, let’s create a story to remind the fans about how great I once was when there is nothing else going on in the news about the club I never wanted to leave.

Will I stay or will I go? Its the latest Stevie Me show. And repeat.

It takes a particular type to succeed as an Old Firm manager. SG is far too dim. He wouldn't last a couple of months.

I really don't think this will come to anything, I think he's putting himself in the shop window and touting for a Championship club with potential and money to come in for him.

Here's a long shot Southampton if they get relegated will not be sticking with Sparky IMO, they have plenty of money and a fantastic conveyor belt system of talent coming through, I think there would be mutual interest there.

Regardless of what we think about him there will be a lot of clubs hoping to snare him I just think he would well out of his depth up here and as Joey Barton found out it's a lot more difficult to walk the walk when you're in the goldfish bowl.

Fair play to Slippy if he is wanting to have a go at managing a team.

Too many of his contemporaries are content to just swan into the TV studios and spout bollox rather than have a try.

BTW....I have to admit to thinking he is a decent enough pundit.....way better than most of them

*Ol’ Khal scarpers :( *

It would be quite funny if he got it, just when you think you can't possibly hate an individual more than you already do he becomes manager of that club.

The Liverpool legend is on a small shortlist of candidates for the Ibrox club but will get the job if he wants it. Dave King, the Rangers chairman, is a close friend of Kenny Dalglish and sat beside the Liverpool ambassador when the club beat Roma 5-2 at Anfield in Tuesday’s Champions League semi-final, first leg.

Wouldn't be the first time King Kenny has 'jogged in' for him, hey.
