The fanbase sadly will never accept it they want "Hollywood".
Absolute Garbage lad...its Moshiri who wants Hollywood appointments not the fans. How many "transition" seasons do we need?
Club has no identity, no direction and no plan as far as I can see to resolve the situation.
The board should hang their heads in shame for what they have done to EFC.
Some of us are willing to accept 6th from bottom as acceptable next season?
Oh dear.

well

The fan base is becoming increasingly wound up by media perceptions to the point where if Villa buy a player there’s a meltdown, if we buy a player who’s not deemed the approved sort then there’s a meltdown, if we get beaten in a meaningless friendly there’s a meltdown. A lot to people just need to log off Twitter and let Benitez get on with his job for long term improvement.

Or.. we have just finished 12th and 10th, have a dislikable manager and are signing some incredibly underwhelming players. That’s nothing to do with media perception.

Which coach out there that would work under a dof model (like we are supposed to have) is obtainable and considered a prospect that can take Everton into regular CL contention within 3-5 seasons and can then push for winning the league once established in that group.

That's who we should have got. That's who should have been identified a long time ago. When Ancelotti scarpered, the club should have known who that was and acted.

As it is, we have Benitez. My predictions are that he's still here next summer after an 8th place. With the majority of the deadwood gone, it offers a fresh start for whoever is in charge. I would hope the first and second paragraph are the questions asked and if the answer is not Benitez, they replace him. I can see him still being here for next season too as on one hand the club needs stability and after Silva, Martinez and Koeman were ousted after the players gave up, we need to back Benitez against them acting up - which is difficult given our animosity to him. A bad choice that makes everything problematic.

What a fun season ahead hey?

100% agree - the season hasn't started yet but the manager needs to be sacked

Players like Gray and Townsend are a small improvement on Walcott and Benard but we are going backwards

Moshiri has spent £450+ million in 5 years but he's a carpet bagger now we have one summer of needing to balance the books.

The only people to blame for our current situation is Kenwright, Walsh and Brands.

The recruitment has been shambolic and the cushy jobs for the boys environment was created by Kenwright and still exists to this day.

Benitez isn't a hollywood name but hasn't been accepted.

Howe would have been legged from day one

Potter/Dyche/Moyes were laughed at and the majority didnt want any of them.

The fanbase needs to calm down and let the Rafatollah rebuild the squad. If it goes wrong then he'll get rightfully booted but nows not the time for anarchy in the stands.

As long as Benitez is in charge every thing will be a meltdown by some contingent, via the loud minority. So strap yourself in.
