Mr the esk you appear to be well heeled and rubbing shoulders with the upper echelons.
Just skimmed through this match thread and I can't believe the abuse dished out to our players by our own supporters whenever one of them makes a mistake. Can understand people not being happy but most of it is way OTT. The abuse Pienaar received for being sent off for NOT committing a foul is a disgrace. Then we have one poster saying he is not going to watch the derby next week and that we should concede defeat now. What kind of support and attitude is that ? It would drive you to despair that some people can't accept that we just can't turn up and be at our best every game and turn the opposition over. That's football ffs and it always was and always will be like that.
On the game yeah a very average performance so will take a point. Thought we started the 2nd half well and were unlucky not to take the lead, then defended well when we were reduced to 10. The squad is being stretched now by injuries and suspensions and it's showing. Take the point, keep the unbeaten run going, move on, and prepare for battle against the orcs next weekend. Come on you Blues.
Hardly a newsflash but I though Neville was poor once again. I can't remember him contributing a single thing in the 2nd half, and in the 1st half he got muscled off the ball leading to Hoillet scoring.
These are the sort of games where you have to take 3 points if you have ambitions beyond 7th. As just about everyone predicted at the start of the season, we have started to struggle a little with injuries/suspensions to key players. You would want more than 2 points against Wigan and QPR, let's face it.
Alan Curbishley and Andy Townsend were the TV pundits, and they were puzzled at our formation. Because of 1 player out (Mofro), we played 3 players out of position and changed our formation. Forgetting their spawny deflected goal, we didn't offer much in the first half considering we are the team with the most shots on goal in the top 5 European leagues. We missed Fellaini big time.
With Fellaini and Pienaar (unless he wins an appeal) missing next week, I am a lot less optimistic about the derby. Let's hope we can pull out a result. A capitulation like last year is just not on.
On the bright side, it is our best start to the season since 04-05. It's a sign of increased expectations that we are unhappy with recent performances.
Fellaini should start next week, mate.

Couldn't agree more. We have to remain balanced. I think the large majority of us were nervous prior to the game. With the exception of the normal nerves of the Derby we have a good chance to get some even more momentum on the points with Sunderland, Reading and Norwich coming up so that we can then be in a good place for Spurs and Tottenham.
Not sure how many on here went to the game, but Loftus Road, what an absolute dump. Goodison gets some stick I know but Goodison felt like a Hilton hotel in comparison to Loftus Road. £43.50 for an upper tier restricted view ticket and the restricted view was the fact that you couldn't see the goal properly.
Trying to buy a pint at half time, there wasn't enough room to swing my dick, and i'm not particularly gifted in that department either.
The only positive was the qpr fan wearing the sombrero who was subject to a few songs associating him with jimmy Saville.
Who else was actually their out of interest?
Can you appeal a second yellow card as DM says Pienaar { who in his opion had an awful game} is out of the Derby?

Think is fair to say that on the whole Pienaar has not really found his form for us yet - he was on fire just about every game last season and he hasn't hit those heights this season yet?

Steven Pienaar's red card was Everton's 74th in Premier League history, only Blackburn (76) have more.
15 goals is Everton's best ever return after eight games of a Premier League season.
STATS
I will neg the next person who produces a stat which differentiates between the premier league and the old first division. They're the same thing, ffs.
