Any point away from home is good in my book.

Okay, the performance wasn't great today but we were sorely missing Fellaini and Gibson. QPR are much better than their league position shows and they were desperate for the points today.

On another point, Jags was World Class today, best defender by a mile this season.

Point away to bottom of the league? We had been under the cosh for a very long period. We are lucky to have gotten a point.

It probably in a way was better that we played the way we did today,so we didnt go in over confident to the derby, that performance should mean that we buck up our ideas and play a lot better next game, quite happy with a point even though off course i wanted 3,we've had 5 away games and got 8 points think that is pretty decent,we are not going to play well every game and the games we dont play well in its better to get a point or more than none

Decent point all things considered. I thought we would have went on to win it if Pienaar had stayed on the pitch. Shame really, but we are still in a good position. I wasn't sure about Victor coming into the side today, he's done well this season but I think we needed to bring more of a midfielder into the side (Naismith on the right, Pienaar centrally) and keep our shape with Gibson and Fellaini out. He can do a job outwide but he's playing higher up the pitch, as does Mirallas, and the fullbacks got exposed a bit. The midfield three had too much to do and weren't dominant enough. Not that it was a negative change from Moyes, I just thought it left us a bit open and contributed to the end to end nature of the game.

i will get abuse for this but here goes.... yes we should beat qpr ,especially when they are bottom of table but always thought it would be tough. No phil neville should not be a first team player any longer , particuarly in centre midfield but its not his fault moyes picks him everyweek, but the reaction of our fans on twitter and the lke to these issues is disgusting. to me thats a point gained after a **** performance and with 10 men. This time last year we would have lost that game, instead we grind out a draw and stay4th. yes 4th , not 18th like you would have thought we were based on peoples reaction to the result, and to abuse your club captain and someone i feel embodies howa profesional footballer should be is plain wrong. He may now be finished but he has been great for this club since he arrived and stilltalks and acts with grace and dignity. Rant over!!!!!

Just skimmed through this match thread and I can't believe the abuse dished out to our players by our own supporters whenever one of them makes a mistake. Can understand people not being happy but most of it is way OTT. The abuse Pienaar received for being sent off for NOT committing a foul is a disgrace. Then we have one poster saying he is not going to watch the derby next week and that we should concede defeat now. What kind of support and attitude is that ? It would drive you to despair that some people can't accept that we just can't turn up and be at our best every game and turn the opposition over. That's football ffs and it always was and always will be like that.

On the game yeah a very average performance so will take a point. Thought we started the 2nd half well and were unlucky not to take the lead, then defended well when we were reduced to 10. The squad is being stretched now by injuries and suspensions and it's showing. Take the point, keep the unbeaten run going, move on, and prepare for battle against the orcs next weekend. Come on you Blues.

You are too balanced to fit in here. Are you even mildly bi-polar ?

I dont think it was much down to the players but more down to the size of the pitch . It wasn't big enough for our style of player by that I mean using the wings . Today we really could of done with Fellaini to dominate the centre as we couldn't go wide and we didn't have tht sort of powering the middle . This shows that we need to adapt to different styles of pitches to get top 4

1) We looked disorganised. We never looked comfortable defensively.
2) We seem to be changing things around too much. One minute Pienaar was alongside Neville, Mirallas was on the left and Osman was behind Jelavic. The next thing Pienaar was on the left and Mirallas was in the hole. It unsettles us more than it unsettles them.
3) Jelavic was far too isolated. It's no good lumping the ball forward for him to chase, so we should have given Mirallas the freedom to carry the ball up to him on the break.
4) Neville and Osman don't make tackles. They just jockey the opposition and let them run through our midfield.
5) Vic is never a wideman. Naismith did some intelligent things when he came on and slotted in instantly but he lacks a turn of pace.
6) Piennar literally never touched his opponent for his second yellow. Hopefully we'll win an appeal and he'll be available for the derby. He did deserve to go though and he hasn't quite been at his best recently.
7) Moyes was stuck for substitute options. Pienaar's dismissal aside the only players he could consider bringing off were Anichebe and Osman. It would have been a risk to put Oviedo or Gueye on but maybe he could have moved Naismith inside for Ossie and tried one of them down the wing in the closing stages.
8) If we were a Champions League club that would be the sort of game where we would have taken 3 points. We really didn't create much though and they should have had a penalty for Coleman's foul, so we have to be content with a point.

At least this year we'll be blown out the cups and fabricate amazing hard luck stories for the derby games BUT...... be a more entertaining 7th, 8th, 9th or whatever best of the rest is these days.

The upward curve from mediocrity to significant non- entities is stratospheric baby.

A good point on a so-so day with a very poor referee when we were never going to play like we can do given the set up of Osman and Neville in the centre of midfield.

I can tell you that QPR (Hughes aside) were delighted with the point.

Couple of mildly interesting pics from the day taken on my phone - who can you spot in the crowd :)
