I think you can, a manager should be able to see when their man is going to get sent off. It was clear the next foot he put in - regardless of if it was a foul or not, was going to be a yellow.

If it were Barton, Diouf etc. I'd agree with you but Pienaar is laid back and intelligent; you'd have assumed he'd stay out of it. Unfortunately, he was completely braindead - not for the "foul" he actually got sent off for, but the barge a minute beforehand which he should have walked for. So I can't have any complaints.

If Moyes had taken him off you'd have people on here moaning at him for being negative.

coleman got the ball for me

First, I really don't know what Coleman was doing there. He should hoof it but he had chosen to run with the ball and lost it in our own penalty area. Afterthat he made that tackle when a lot of ref would give a pk to QPR. Check the replay, Coleman got the man.

In the circumstances it was a good point. But that's two consecutive poor teams away from home there for the taking and we come away with two points only. We finish around seventh place as that's our level.

We desperately need Fellaini and Gibson back for the derby or the sh*te will do us.

Look end of the day- horrible tight little ground, horrible pitch, desperately battling for their lives, down to 10 men, we got a point.

Get the bad performance out the way before the derby. We're still 4th in the league

exactly this. everyone here had a bad feeling about it, sometimes you just got to keep not losing when you're playing bad. we're not going to be outstanding for 38 games, but when we have been we've won every game (excepted being cheated vs newcastle). still only 1 loss from 8 games with most of them being away is very good. We'll be much better in the derby

I think Moyes cost us that.

I don't know what his starting formation was meant to be but it didn't work at all and took too long to fix it.

Pienaar central, Mirallas left. Makes no sense; if Pienaar and Baines are fit they have to take the left positions.

Anichebe didn't do anything and Jelavic without anybody there with him was useless. Should have been 4-4-2, remember we were playing the worst team in the division.

I will repeat what others are saying - it is the manager's job to make sure his players don't get sent off in that situation. He knew (surely?) that Pienaar was one soft foul away from a red. After all, isn't Phil Neville the best captain and leader in the world, ever, and would surely had gotten the message back to the manager what the referee said when Pienaar got away with a push when on a yellow.

I'd say only the two centre backs can come out of that game with any credit, and Howard too.

We are desperate now for both Gibson and Fellaini to be back for the derby, or I can feel a hammering coming on with Neville anchoring the midfield.

pienaar was clearly warned (and in front of his captain) his next foul he walks
thats challenge in normal time looked like a foul and the fact that its only seconds after his warning he left the ref no choice

And yet it wasn't a foul? To be fair, Moyes should have subbed him before that happened.

They do us anyway...

That worked almost perfectly for them. Soak the tiny pitch to break the play up with slips, men behind the ball, get right at us = damn near impossible to play expansive football. It was a battle and I'm actually surprised we got a point, given we were down to 10 men for a long time. A point away from home, while an opportunity missed, is nothing worth crying over. I want them relegated so badly.

Thank God we'll have Gibbo and Felli back for the derby. I pray that Felli can start because without him and Pienaar, we'd be f*cked. There's no getting around that.
