after their second goal went in we deflated massively but I was impressed for the most part.

As many have said, Del should have wrapped it up and Kev also missed a good chance.

It's clear as day that on the whole the squad were relatively unfit though, and that Koeman and his team are probably having to work extra hard to get them up to speed.

It'll come good.

Testing game tomorrow and then a run-out vs Utd before the Espanyol game.

Solid pre-season this.

Fair assessment and my thoughts pretty much. Barkley needs to run around and get stuck in a lot more. He's a bloody good player, but he's not good enough to waltz round the pitch like he does. Enjoying this new pressing game we're playing. Will take a long while to undo Martinez's impact on the defence and fitness and people need to remember that.

tell you what they were a nice and tidy team Dresden. That's probably the best workout we've had this pre season.

I've been really impressed with Stekenberg, far better than I thought he would be. Not saying we don't need a top class keeper but certainly he at the very worst will be quality back up.

Just seen some of your posts on his thread, fair enough you love the guy. Just think a centre half should be mark his man. With regard me blaming him when he is not on the pitch, if you can find a post from me aimlessly slagging off the lad, knock yourself out.
