PPI refund

So people getting money back are simply getting the money that they paid out for the PPI they were mis-sold over the years right?

Say you paid £2 a month PPI for 2 years you'd get £48 back?

maxed out my claim on my mortgage one when unemployed, I had insured for the good income I had at the time and basically while it was paying out I couldn't find a job that paid me more.

Thought about doing it for other loans and cards though.

I genuinely have no idea how it works and how they work out how much they owe you, but it's certainly worth a bash

I walked into my bank, told them I want my PPI back, the girl snarled back, on what grounds? I replied that as I've been working overseas for the last 25 years the policies they insisted I have would not have paid out. A week later I received a simple form to fill in, one month later a cheque for 7.5k.
The thing is, this was my money, with interest, that these fookers had scammed from me. I hate banks.

I'd advise everyone who can to have a go if they took out a loan or a credit card a few years ago. Moneysavingexpert.com is the best place for advice
