Potential cancellation of games - Coronavirus

Ah blue tick attention seekers on twitter stirring the pot.

Those players could just have a cold - this is exactly what I mean in that social media and 24/7 news has a massive part to play in whipping up hysteria for £££ and clicks.
They will have had jabs to prevent colds and flu.
If they are showing signs now then chances are it's CV.

Because a stadium worth of people spending their money in concourses where you can get a pint before half time is over generates more revenue.
Totally agree with this. Better facilities might mean better food that people might want to eat too. And yes, maybe actual pints too.

Plus for those of us who can't go every week, it's a lot of money to buy a ticket with a pillar, rubbish seat with no leg room along with the rest of the poor experience

On topic - if CL / EL get suspended surely PL is next?

Plus the community spread must be so high if footballers are getting it, NBA players, Tom Hanks just happening to be one of a small number in Australia etc. That's the biggest tell of how widespread it is

Got to be cancelled Goodison aint a problem here
but 53k people in one place at the same time over the road
[mostly people from middle east /foreign countries]
where the virus is currently big, danger to our city danger to our country.

Prem OUT [for now] forget this season ignore current points in league
and start fresh next season. [ still ban Citeh from Europe ofc]

RS also deserve a hefty fine/points deducted if the virus was to spread
in Liverpool,UK due to their supporters/traveling supporters. simples

Not always mate - my point with social media is if they reported actual news and statistics there would be alot more calm about the place.

64+ million people in the UK and under 500 confirmed with the virus - a tiny proportion of the population yet reading this thread or twitter you would think its a zombie apocalypse.

Key word there. If that was the actual figure then it would be easily nipped in the bud but we all know the figure is a whole lot bigger which is why people are still catching it. We will not how bad (or not) this is until it plays out.

It is a flu strain
Let’s not get all end of the world here

It affects the vulnerable and people with underlying issues, this in its self is the concern. The rate of infection is just mad, and this will sadly mean we will see deaths as the NHS will struggle to cope.

My concern is for the elderly and vulnerable, as they will not have the services in place to stand a fighting chance

Let’s hope a hot summer will slow this down and a vaccine can be sought out

Ok it’s a flue strain, that’s killing people and you woudnt want it being a member of your family would you? Stupid post, this is people’s lives lad.
