Tbh for me this is turning into a mass hysteria fueled by the press and news coverage. I might be wrong but all the evidence points to very few deaths. Don't get me wrong if your elderly and have a chronic condition you must be worried. I myself have a loved one who is very much at risk.and I am worried about her. But the vast majority who get it will recover. And that is not underestimate the fear that some people will be facing.
Just driven past 3 Atletico fans taking pics of the Holy Trinity , wished them all the best for tonight but warned them if they laid a finger or breathed on any of the statues they'd be sleeping with the fishes tonight .

Italy population is old compared to most countries think it said other day nearly 25% are elderly. But your right it is the right time to worry especially for the older generation one of the people I go the game with is over 75 and has health problems. I think we are the last major county to be hit, and we haven’t seen the worse yet I just hope it’s gave the government and NHS enough time to prepare probably. I only lost my nan 4 weeks ago but at least I got to say goodbye. Hearing stories off family’s not being able to say goodbye to loves ones because they had the virus is so sad.

'APPARENT' is the key word. This is the percentage of reported cases, not necessarily close to the real number of cases. Italy has a high proportion of elderly in the population, other local factors might be involved, and other countries show different figures. No doubt that this is a serious issue, but big doubt about how serious.
