Yes. Let’s be honest there was a war time league during WW2 that was held to give an outlet to the public. In terms of giving people something to occupy themselves with other than the daily worry could be a good thing.

Would need to be in line with wider regulations of course, but reading the plans I find it hard to believe it would lead to another massive outbreak. Saying that 300+ people would be at each game seems slightly ridiculous. You’d get one camera angle a la u18 games.

What happens if a few first teamers get the virus and a 14 day self isolation for a club is brought back ? Does that team forfeit games ?

As soon as the RS secure enough points to clinch the title....their fans will be calling for the season to be over for the sake of the NHS / good of society blah / blah...... Absolutely ridiculous to even be thinking about playing matches or training.right now. Just cancel season ( make a decision re:title / Europe / promotion / relegation ) and hope we can start next season in some form by the end of 2020. Far more important things in the world right now than football !

Cancelling this season doesn't end this question though. It is unlikely crowds will be allowed back before 2021, so next year has to have a decision made too. At some point empty stadium games are going to be necessary to keep football going. I know people are going to say it is clubs being greedy, but no business can survive forever without making money.

Lets say they test all the players before a match and lets say for example 3 Everton players test positive, so then Everton cant play those 3 players for 14 days, which could be for 4 games.

Then the next week another 4 players test positive and then times that by the 20 teams in the league.

Yeah this aint happening.

Imagine the gatherings of RS fans to celebrate the tittle win and then realise loads of them have spread the virus around, would it be worth it?

How do you define a "Neutral Venue". Seeing as we are NOT supposed to travel anything other than very short distances?. What criteria would be used to determine these "safe" arena's.Seem's to me that the lunatic's are ruling the asylum if this solution is pursued. FIFA UEFA FA along with the scurrilous media ,you all know who I mean..... are blatantly putting profit over lives and it is appalling in the extreme!! Surely life is the only trophy we should all be cherishing.. not some silver pot or cup.Life comes first... everything else follows.

There was this RS from High Wycombe (quelle surprise) on radio the other day who tried to have us believe that their fans would readily watch the games on TV and still observe the social distancing thing. He was then led craftily by the interviewer by asking what would happen when the RS won the league.
He said, well we would all be outside celebrating of course, and it would be worse in Liverpool.

As good as null and void would be, it simply won't happen. Money talks sadly.

I'd rather the RS win the league at some random place behind closed doors than them winning the league at Goodison.
