Players out on loan 2025/26

Late loanee round up from yesterday.

Another 90 minutes for Will Tamen but Tranmere lost 3-0 at table topping Milton Keynes. Harrogate won so Tranmere are only 1 point above the drop zone with only one game to play (at home v play off chasing Grimsby).

A full match too for Martin Sherif for already relegated Port Vale. They lost 2-1 at Plymouth. Still 2 matches to play. Vale are 2nd bottom. Eli Campbell was not on the bench.

George Finney was on the bench but didn't get on as mid table Ayr lost 2-1 at Airdrieonians.

Isaac Heath seems to be still injured. He hasn't been in the Accrington squad since early March.

Jack Patterson finally made his first team debut in Poland. He came on in stoppage time for LKS Lodz to help them hold out for a 2-1 victory at home to Rzeszow. Checking his stats and it seems he has also played 4 times for Lodz II who are at the foot of the 2nd tier so not an entirely wasted loan.

Big disappointment for George Morgan's AS Cannes as they lost their top of the table clash at Nîmes. 'Les Crocos' beat 'Les Dragons' 3-0 to go one point clear at top. Morgan came on for the 2nd half with his side already losing 2-0.

@maccavennie if you get some time it would be good to get your expert translation of the Cannes match summary.

I don't speak Congolese mate so what I've done is translate to French

It says along the lines of

A canned office, film 90. A Fondue match and the fate of a 3-0 animal. A fraudulent rebound continued the battery just as a fin was seasoned.

We poured pot pourri down a dragons nose as it was just about to batter a can. One Penis poured pee on the supporters, with one fainting and one was displaced by another, who rejoiced doing pass the parcel.

Caught the last half hour of the Cannes match at home to GOAL FC (Grand Ouest Association Lyonnais). After losing their top of the table clash at Nîmes last week Cannes were desperate for a win to maintain pressure on the leaders. George Morgan came off the bench on 73 minutes with his side drawing 1-1 and struggling to break down their opponents' stubborn rearguard.

Within 5 minutes Morgan won a penalty box battle and the ball broke for 'Magic' Chafiq Abbas to put Cannes 2-1 ahead. His usual excellent hold up and link up play helped Cannes see out the game for a vital win that put them top by one point having played one game more than Nîmes. Could be an exciting final match in a couple of weeks for those that fork out £13,000 to go on the Tony Hibbert trip to Cannes.

Meanwhile George Finney was subbed on after 66 minutes with Ayr losing 1-0 at home to St Johnstone. It finished that way and Ayr are slipping towards the drop zone.

Roman Dixon was back in the Stockport squad and came off the bench on 82 minutes with his side leading 2-1 at Barnsley. They ended up winning 3-1. Stockport finished 3rd and so Dixon's loan will continue as Stockport enter the play offs.

Martin Sherif ended his loan at Port Vale with another 90 minutes but no goal nor any points. Vale lost 2-0 at home to Champions, Lincoln and finished the season 3rd from bottom. Relegation, but a slight improvement on their earlier position.

Will Tamen completed the full 90 for the 6th match in a row and Tranmere celebrated avoiding dropping out of the league in a 1-1 home draw at home to Grimsby. It turned out that they would have survived even if they had lost. They finally finished 21st.

Isaac Heath's Accrington finished in 16th place but he has been absent since March. Presumably returned to Finch Farm.

Jack Patterson was on the bench again for LKS Lodz but didn't get on even though they were 4 up. Lodz still have 4 fixtures remaining.

AS Cannes update. Their main title rivals Nîmes lost today. Lusitanos did win so it's tight at the top. Cannes are top on goal difference over Lusitanos with Nîmes just one point behind. Two games to play with the final game at home against Lusitanos. Only one team is promoted so the stakes are high. Great experience for George Morgan.

And a cracking place to live (Cannes not Accrington).

Roman Dixon was on the bench but didn't get on as Stockport grabbed a late winner after some comedy defending from hosts Stevenage. Stockport take a 1-0 lead back to Edgeley Park for the 2nd leg of the play off.

A win too for George Morgan's AS Cannes. They travelled up to Rousset SVO in the shadows of the Sainte Victoire mountain (made famous by Cézanne). Morgan came on after 65 minutes with Cannes already leading 3-0. It finished 3-1. Rivals Lusitanos drew 1-1 and Nîmes won 3-0. So Cannes go into next week's final match at home to Lusitanos in top position. Cannes 57 pts, Nîmes 56 pts and Lusitanos 55 pts.
