Players out on loan 2025/26

Great to see Will Tamen back from injury. He played the full 90 as Tranmere lost 1-0 at home to Colchester. He seems to have done quite well today though. Tranmere only 3 points off the drop zone so the last few games of the season should be a good challenge for him.

Roman Dixon came off the bench on 68 minutes for Stockport at Bolton with his side leading 2-1. It finished 2-2. Stockport are 5th.

A rare win for Port Vale tonight at home to Rotherham. Martin Sherif started again and was withdrawn on the hour with his side one up. Eli Campbell came on with a couple of minutes remaining to help Vale hold out for a 1-0 win. They are still bottom but only 1 point behind Northampton with 2 games in hand.

Not a great night for George Finney. He was introduced after 60 minutes with Ayr already losing 2-0 to Dunfermline. 18 minutes later he picked up a straight red and his side ended up losing 3-0.

George Finney missed Ayr's match today, serving a suspension after his midweek red card. Ayr got a vital 1-0 win to take them 9 points clear of the drop zone.

Isaac Heath was still absent for Accrington who lost 2-1. They are safely midtable.

Sounds like Will Tamen put in another decent display as Tranmere drew 1-1 at Chesterfield. He played the full 90 and was marked 7.1 on Flashscore. Tranmere are now 4 points above the relegation places.

A nice trip up to the hills of perfume country this evening for George Morgan. He played the full 90 for Cannes at RC Grasse in a feisty encounter. Cannes ran out 3-1 victors and Morgan provided a headed assist for Cannes' third. I caught the 2nd half and again, his hold up and link play was excellent. Also good to see him first to the aid of his team mates when things started to kick off. All great experience for him even though this is 4th or 5th tier. Cannes go top by 1 point but have played one extra game. 2nd placed Nimes play 3rd place Lusitanos tomorrow.

Regionalised fourth tier.

Good to see Roman Dixon get 90 minutes tonight after he had missed so many games recently. Stockport won 2-0 at Wimbledon and are almost guaranteed a play off spot now. If he can keep his place, this would all be good experience for him.

….he’s a fabulous athlete, terrific runner if he can keep himself fit then he has a chance in the game. Similar profile to Antonee Robinson to that extent.

George Morgan came on in the 2nd half for Cannes who were already 2-0 up at home to Créteil. He notched in the 90th minute - final score 3-0. Cannes are 4 points clear at the top having played a game more.

Another 90 minutes for Roman Dixon as Stockport drew 3-3 at Exeter. County are well placed for the play offs in 5th spot.

A full match too for Will Tamen but Tranmere lost 2-1 at home to Bristol Rovers. Tranmere in 21st position but only one point off the drop zone

George Finney and Jack Patterson were on the bench for Ayr and LKS Lodz but didn't get on.

…..I notice Exeter’s goalkeeper scored the equaliser in stoppage time with a decent header 😄

Victory on Tuesday night for Will Tamen's Tranmere, 3-1 at Cheltenham. He played the whole match. Tranmere are 4 points clear of the drop zone in 20th.

Eli Campbell and Martin Sheriff both started for Port Vale at Cardiff. Sheriff came off after 72 minutes with the game scoreless. Cardiff scored a winner late on. Port Vale are 2nd bottom.

I actually watched both of these games, bit of a slow week I suppose.

Tamen started on the left side of the back 3 and really struggled with his body shape and passing out. At half time the manager swapped him over to the right side and he looked much more comfortable. He went on one of his trademark runs through the midfield which didn't really come to much. He also has developed a pretty impressive long throw. Didn't use it much for throws into the box as they had another chap but it did help Tranmere move up the pitch safely. He really came into his own near the end of the match with a few trademark headed clearances. Was right in with the team celebrations at the end too so seems to have settled nicely there. Overall a solid 6/10 performance.

Thought Sherif was pretty poor. Port Vale were playing a 5221 and Sherif was generally the right sided #10. An odd choice for a battering ram type striker in my opinion. He battled a bit but was clumsy on the ball and didn't seem to have any real chemistry with his right back or centre forward. He did however track back a lot so has definitely bought in to the defend first mentality that Port Vale clearly had. 4/10

Campbell played left sided centre back in a back 3 (back 5 really). Was pretty solid all night really, nothing too special but was calm under a pretty good press from Cardiff and wasn't at fault for the goal. 6/10
