Player ratings vs Liverpool

I remember a point in the second half where the ball bounced free in our box and Neville was the first to get to the ball, he ran towards the ball from edge of the area and proceeded to somehow kick the ball out for a Liverpool corner when there was nobody near him and no player anywhere near where he played the ball.

That pretty much summed him up for me. He's gone.

That was an attempted layoff for Coleman - touch of a rapist - but that isn't in those stats as a misplaced pass.

But stats are infallable, honest.

So the question is still there for death and for MoutsGoat now - did Neville give away the ball only three times?

Fck knows, I go the game to watch football, its not my job to monitor every players pass rate.

I leave that to people like these OPTA dudes, so, if they say he gave the ball away 3 times, he gave the ball away 3 times.

Hes almost Zidane like.

I'm downloading the entire match as we speak (totally legal of course), need to make sure i saw that i think i saw.

It was. Left edge, coming back into the area, deflects into his path, he tries to cushion it down for Coleman to the right of the Everton goal but catches it well to heavy and it goes out wildly for the corner.

Fairly sure the stats will mark that down as a clearence.

THE STATS DONT LIE

No but come on Tubes, hes been awful the last few weeks, I wont deny that, him and Osman, utterly terrible, theres even a thread around with everybody saying Osman played like Messi, I honestly forgot he was playing for most of the 2nd half.

Was expecting a missing persons report to flash up on the big screen at 1 point.

But neither played badly, they both had their good and bad points in the game, but they both need replacing like tomorrow.

Top image, ball is dropping down.

Bottom image is the result of the layoff to Coleman.

So yeah. Stats are infallible, Neville didn't misplace that pass.

Apologies on a postcard. Cheers.

Coleman's got his positioning all wrong, there. If he'd had anything about him he'd have anticipated nev's pass.

Pip just thinks too fast for the rest of the team sometimes. Same thing happens with Barkley at Sheff Wed.

He knew if he hit it anywhere near the goal Howard would have done a backwards starjump and watched as it dribbled into the net.
