The whole "he'd rather go to Spurs" thing doesn't really bother me if he still decides to come here and we can get it tied up nice and quickly

It's only an issue if it means he's going to drag his feet all through the window in the hope Spurs come calling, which means we have to sit on our thumbs and wait until he either gets the move he wants or gives up and settles. We could lose A LOT of time if that happens and it might mean we don't have the time to find someone else if he waits long enough and then decides he doesn't fancy it
