I don't think that's fair, he did well in the first half, played a few decent passes, tested the keeper a few times and allowed Osman more freedom than he usually has. In the second half he was clearly tired and should have been brought off sooner, but still didn't perform badly as such.
Gave the ball away far more often than Neville
But he has a fancy name, so is obvz better eh?
He had a good game imo we were poor he had at least 4 shots on the goal got in the box - does PN ever do that?????

Neville getting injured is one of the only positives I could of took out of today.
The other being Hitzlesperger having two legs, two feet, some semblance of pace, a shot & the ability to hit the ball on target.
Up the blues, don't give no crock no contract.

Neville getting injured is NOT a positive you plonker. We can't afford injuries to anyone inc pip. Hitzleberger is plop... The sooner people realise that the better hes not the savour...."Yeah but he's German and has a long name...he's better than Neville"
The truth is if we're starting with hitzleberger were in trouble. We're in no better shape with him over Neville. I just pray Gibson can get back ASAP and stay fit till January when hopefully we can add a quality CM.
For the next few weeks whilst waiting for gibson if it was up to me I would:
Move fellaini to DM (Norwich aside as banned)
Recall Barkley - our bench was so poor today and numbers our dropping more and more.
Play ossie next to fellaini and Naismith behind jelavic
Play jags and Distin CB and stick with it.
