some fantastic players on them lists but the most influential player for me this season has to be Paul Scholes.... he has turned uniteds season around since coming out of retirement ....sadly the fact that he has only played half a season will probably discount him from any list of player of the year but he still deserves a mention imo. Also I know he's a united player but I am a lover of football as a whole and it has to be said that he is probably the most complete central midfield player I have seen since the begining of the Premier league era.

That's a superb shout. The fact that he didn't play for the first half of the season then came in and reached the level he has again is impressive, and has gone a long way towards winning them the league.

Meant to say as well, I tend to think goalkeepers go under the radar slightly in general unless they're playing in a winning team (Joe Hart). I can't for the life of me understand how Shay Given isn't on this list - they have been poor at the back every time I've seen them this season, and the number of saves the guy makes is ludicrous. They would be right it rather than just glancing back nervously without Given IMO.

I think Antonio Valencia should be in there in place of Scott Parker to be honest.

very good shout, has always been the 3rd best premier league GK for me behind Schmeichel and Seaman
